A few dozen miles from Rome, there are two large outlet mini towns, which are the Fashion District of Valmontone (50 km from Rome) and Castelromano Designer Outlet in Pomezia (about 25).
We talk about mini towns because they are both built as two towns, with streets, shops and several eateries. Outdoor shopping malls, where, however, you can save a lot more than at a normal shopping centre. Of course, you can buy items of old collections, but the prices are really discounted, you get up to 70% off the price tag.
The Fashion District is the largest Italian network of outlets and is open daily, Monday through Friday from 10am to 10pm, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10am to 9pm. There you can find sportswear, children's wear, menswear, electronics, housewares, lingerie, accessories, leather goods and footwear. For each category, many brands. For example, Cacharel, Basile, Belfe, Calvin Klein, Cannella, United Colors of Benetton, Elena Mirò, Ethic, Gaudì, Fornarina, Nara camicie, Nolita, Motivi, Navigare, Sisley, Zuiki are only a few brands of women's clothing that can be found within the large outlet.
Also at Castelromano there are sportswear, children's wear, menswear, electronics, housewares, lingerie, accessories, leather goods and footwear shops.
